New years eve’s are a bit over rated.
Don’t get me wrong I LOVE to take a break, reflect, reset and celebrate the year. But… as soon as it hits 1 January the onslaught of declarations of ones New Year’s resolution is in full force. I can’t remember what the stat is, so I’m just going to make it up (but it’s probably true).
93% of new years resolutions are broken by 2nd January.
Sounds good, doesn’t it?
Sounds alarmingly quite true too, doesn’t it?
Knowing how most people ring in the new year, it can sometimes be anything but their normal habit. So why would you expect to be the best version of yourself on new years day and keep that promise to yourself.
OF COURSE you were going to stuff that up.
As the human experience goes, we’re going to get off track from time to time (or maybe even daily). That’s just life.
But it’s all about bringing it back.
Bring it back into alignment with our goals.
Bring it back to what we want to achieve for the year.
Bring it back with how we want to FEEL this year.
Bringing it back when we admit to ourselves we got off track.
” 365 new days. 365 new choices. “
So even if you’ve already taken a detour down the “I’m buying vegemite toast for breakfast everyday when I swore to myself I would make a healthy breakfast” lane. BRING IT BACK.
