"Why does dinner feel so hard?"
Not the surface answer. The real one. The one nobody in the cooking space is talking about.
Hi, I'm Lou.
I spent 6 years running a commercial kitchen feeding hundreds of women every week in the Sydney CBD. No recipes. No meal plans. Just a way of thinking about food that I learned to trust completely.
I've cooked over 21,900 meals in my life. And I've figured out why some women find cooking effortless and others find it exhausting. It's not talent. It's not time. It's one thing. And I'm going to show you what it is.
I've been featured in Vogue Australia, ABC Radio, Body and Soul, Broadsheet and 1 Million Women. But the thing I'm most proud of is the women who've fallen back in love with their kitchen.
What other busy women are saying about Lunch Lady Lou.
"Why do I put so much pressure on myself when it can be just so easy? I had a curry paste in the cupboard, mixed it with coconut milk and put it in the oven. It was so easy."
Tegan DTR Student, 2026"I googled something and Lunch Lady Lou was the first source of info! I'm a cooking machine now - I make up stuff all the time. Some looks horrific but delicious and others smashes it. So thank you."
