Cook with Lou: Private Cooking Class
Cook with Lou: Private Cooking Class
We’ll focus on getting your cooking mojo firing on all cylinders
Here’s the deal, we get together virtually via Skype and riff in the kitchen.
1:1 class - just you and me and a bunch of ingredients
15 minute intro call
2 x 1.5 hour classes
A recipe book I’ll customise FOR YOU
Access to me, to ask all your questions
Access to bonus mini trainings and pep talks I’ll make for you as we progress
This is more than a ‘this is how you roast a chook, here’s a recipe, on your way’ kind of class…. You can find that stuff on the Internet - heard of it?
We’re beyond that, dangling our feet in the ocean of ‘if I cooked from a place of, I can’t stuff this up’ what would I cook?
Don’t worry though, we may very well roast a chook if that’s what’s going to get you in the kitchen.
What if, we skipped the doomsday thoughts for a sec and cooked the recipe anyway and leant on the arsenal of sneaky flavour-filled ingredients that are hiding in our pantry?
How would learning some simple cooking techniques ease the load of the ‘what the F is for dinner’ queued on replay day in, day out? The exhaustion it takes to think this thought daily is enough to drain your energy reserves for the week. No wonder you’d prefer to Netflix or scroll.
I’ll move you beyond the recipe, where you no longer white knuckle it, gripping for dear life for fear of burning that chook. This takes time, yes. It takes practice, yes. I can’t lie and tell you you’re 5 steps away from being a Domestic Goddess.
What I can tell you, is there’s no place for perfection in the kitchen. Actually, anywhere. There’s relief in the basic ingredients that act as a gateway to a style of cooking that is FREEDOM and you know what? There’s a big wide world outside our kitchen, I’m not interested in tying you to it. I’m interested in providing the exhalation you get from a masseuse hitting that sore muscle and releasing the knot in your shoulder.
There’s no better time to start than now and we will embrace the metaphorical and physical mess that we’ll create in the kitchen.
You’ll begin to realise that cooking is more than putting on a pot of rice and feeding yourself. It’s the power of the supportive choices we make for ourselves, time and time again.
Cook with Lou
2 x 1.5 hour private cooking classes with Lou (from the comfort of your kitchen).
We’ll cover anything you want to learn: meal prepping, making time to cook, how to utilise your fridge space, quick easy meals, eating healthier, cooking flavour bombs, how to get organised (once and for all)… to name a few.
Here’s how it works
On purchase you’ll receive a questionnaire to complete.
We’ll set up a quick 15 minute call to discuss where you’re at with your cooking mojo and I will answer any questions you have.
We’ll schedule your 2 lessons. I’ll create a plan for our time together and send the menu over to you. You’ll then fill your pantry and your fridge (if you need to) ready for our lesson.
We’ll meet on Skype (or in your home, if you’re in Sydney and this is possible), do what you’ve got to do to have the space to yourself and we’ll get cooking.
Classes can be scheduled around your timing.
You’ll receive a shopping list for the class, yet we’ll focus on using what’s already in your fridge and pantry too.
If you are in Sydney - an in-person class may be available, but can’t be guaranteed.
If you have kids, it’s best if they are out of the house, or being looked after by another person during our class. We want you focussed and ready to learn.
Due to the perishable nature of food - there is a strict cancellation policy of 48 hours notice.
