Hummus

Hummus is a middle eastern creation and gee wiz they’ve done it well. It’s a combo of chickpeas blended with lemon, garlic, tahini, cumin and oil.

What is not to love?

It is truly  a wonderful thing and my go to quick easy recipe to serve up to guests as a snack.

Take to work for morning tea.

Add to my salads.

Yep, you can pretty much put it on ANYTHING.I believe it's something that everyone should make themselves.

There is no option for the store bought stuff! It takes less than 10 minutes to make and you have the piece of mind that you know what is in your food.

So about those chickpeas.... they are:

  • Low GI. Meaning they will keep you fuller for longer and will assist with weight loss

  • High in protein

  • High in iron

So go on. Spend 10 minutes making this treat and take it to work. Leave the processed sugary treats behind and serve this instead. Your work mates will love you.

So there you go. A short but sweet 'Ode to Hummus' and introducing an easy Hummus recipe.
